The Martin's

IMG_0878RG The Martins Shoot was ALOT of fun....This family had some really fun kids and the parents were so laid back. IMG_0897RG It truly allowed me to do some great work by capturing the moment. You could also tell just how close they were to each other, and I was glad they were celebrating that thru having a photo session done.IMG_0854RG  IMG_0926RG

Kathy and Jacky

F IMG_Jackie and Kathy_004RG I absolutely love to do mother daughter shoots. I am impressed when the client thinks deep enough to know just how important it is to do photographs like this. They are so timeless and they show a progression of maturity and love between a sibling and a parent. These are truly heirloom images that will be passed down for generations to come.IMG_1137RG I first met Kathy and Jacky about 4 years ago and we had a wonderful time in the studio. Kathy was finishing up at UGA ( go dawgs ) and mom was loving her life and loving watching Kathy grow into a great young woman. I saw them the other day for a 2nd shoot in 4 years and Jacky is still with her same company, and Kathy is now an Events Manager with Marriott in San Francisco. It was great seeing them again and we had just as much fun as before. I was honored they loved their photos so much from before that they trusted me again to do them.IMG_1054RG IMG_1108RG

The Triple Wedding!!

IMG_0015RG I had a unique opportunity this past week to be a part of a very special shoot. I had a mom come to me and tell me she wanted a picture of her 3 daughters in their wedding dresses even though they all had already had their weddings and been married at least 2 years or more. I did at first think "why", but I never question anything or any reason someone wants a photograph because they are the link to our past. She had a definite reason. After talking with her for a while I learned that her 3 girls that were 5 years apart were EXTREMELY close. IMG_0016RG Anytime they would go on a long trip when the girls were little they would sit in the back seat and plan their weddings and always said it would be a "unprecedented triple wedding". Well it did not happen that way, but mom has very special memories of all of those trips listening to her little precious girls plan their weddings. So to her it made sense that she wanted a fun loving photo of them in their dresses.IMG_0108RG Nothing formal  - just casual and spirited. The mother received a lot of flack from not only her girls but from her friends and co-workers. They would say things like," it's over , it's in the past, just let it go." I must commend mom for sticking up for what she wanted, because this is her memory and special to no one but her. That is one reason I am so passionate about what I do... you can't get yesterday back. Mom had a special reason for her special memory... how can anyone argue that.IMG_0020RG  IMG_0094RG

Jefferson Girls

IMG_0008-1 What a beautiful trio of sisters the Jeffersons are...Each with their own personality and yet the love they showed for each other was so awe inspiring... I loved capturing these images. IMG_0015-1 IMG_0050-1 .

The Faust's

IMG_0004 I really enjoyed working with the Faust's!! A very large family and so with that the more the merrier and the more fun we had!! I particularly thought Mom did a great job with the clothes in this shoot putting everyone in brown since all the hair color's lent itself to sandy blonde.IMG_0224 Of course my being partial to Black and White we did do a few of those too. I got to hear some interesting stories as I always do in my shoots which are warm and casual and I think the outcome speaks for itself....IMG_0077m IMG_0273

Hoffman and her Horse!!

IMG_0031 IMG_0056 IMG_0074 I have so enjoyed the Seniors I have photographed this year because of their deep desire for learning and the aspirations they have for life. Ashley Hoffman will go far in life no doubt. She speaks German, plays the bassoon (she makes her own reeds!), and the baritone, reads constantly and quotes from Wunthering Heights all the time, and rides in compeition horse events ( in her spare time). She aspires to be a doctor and I have no doubt she will fly through medical school with honors. One of her goals is to be in the horse riding competition in the 2012 Olympics. From what I have seen of this young woman her spirit and determination will get her there and represent the USA with honor. I loved getting to know Ashley and photograph her with her horse, Winnie.IMG_0072 IMG_0083

NEW PRODUCTS!!!!

Karlie Norman Rockwell_Final Clone of Charlee_017 Allison and Co. is pleased to add some high end signature items to her product line this Fall. They are called the Rembrandt Series, the Norman Rockwell Series, and Sketches. The Rembrandt is a combination of photography and digital art in which the end product looks like a true oil painting. The image of the girl above dancing is a Rembrant. The Norman Rockwell is exactly as it sounds. Still it is a painting but with lots more rugged and crisp detail instead of the smoothness of the Rembrant. The softball player above is a Norman Rockwell. And lastly I am offering "Sketches". Sketches can be made from a color or black and white image. It is looks like a charcoal print when it is finished. See example below....

Karim Twins

IMG_0004I don't believe I have ever met 2 such active little precious girls as the Karim twins. They were so active that knowing this going into the session I planned a tea party just for them to get their attention to focus on something because I knew I would not get them to look into the camera. I think it came out very well and the storybook feel attained was loved by the mother.IMG_0005-1
